Bio

Kathy provides the best quality, private tuition in clarinet, bass clarinet and recorder. Lessons are primarily conducted online from the comfort of your own home.

Kathy started teaching clarinet as a high school student, then completed her music degree at Bretton Hall College of Contemporary Performing Arts (University of Leeds), where she developed a lifelong interest in creativity and self-expression through music. She went on to study a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (University of Southampton) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Counselling (Canberra University).

Kathy was appointed primary school teacher and Head of Music in Portsmouth, UK, before emigrating to Australia in 2000. Since then, she has taught privately and in Australian schools and founded the Noisy Fish School of Music in Sydney, Perth and Brisbane.  Now, Kathy teaches clarinet, bass clarinet and recorder online via Zoom from her beautifully refurbished music studio in The Gap.
