I am an experienced cellist and musician with a strong background in orchestral performance and ensemble playing. I am passionate about helping students develop their musical skills, confidence and enjoyment of music in a supportive and encouraging environment.

My teaching approach is tailored to each student’s individual goals, experience and learning style. Whether you are just beginning your musical journey, looking to refine your technique, preparing for an audition or wanting to strengthen your broader musicianship, I aim to help you make consistent progress while developing a genuine appreciation for music.

I offer a friendly, structured and personalised approach to lessons, helping students build strong foundations and develop the skills needed to become confident, independent musicians. Lessons are available for a range of ages and abilities, both in person and online.

Teaching Info

Lessons are tailored to each student’s level, interests and goals. We will work together to identify areas for improvement and develop a clear plan to help you progress at a comfortable but rewarding pace.

Depending on the student’s needs, lessons may cover instrumental technique, posture, tone production, rhythm, sight-reading, music theory, aural skills, interpretation and musical expression. For more experienced students, lessons can also focus on orchestral repertoire, ensemble awareness, preparation of challenging passages and audition preparation.

My teaching style is supportive, practical and goal-oriented. I aim to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, tackling challenges and learning from mistakes, while still being encouraged to work towards high standards.

Students can expect clear guidance, constructive feedback and practical strategies to use in their own practice between lessons. My goal is not only to help students improve their performance, but also to develop their confidence, independence and enjoyment of making music.
